- Explore the meaning of “The Good Life” through art, theatre, writing, and more!
ABOUT THE ACADEMY
During this week-long experience, students will participate in fun, hands-on workshops focused on various areas of study such as Art, English, History and Philosophy. Students will work with bestselling authors, innovative artists, college professors and students in a unique, engaging learning environment.
Students will experience living on a college campus while building skills to help them succeed through high school and college. When not in workshops, students will enjoy activities like intramural sports, hip hop dance classes, game nights, off-campus
field trips and more!

SAMPLE CAMP WORKSHOPS
ART: Students will have the opportunity to be creative and bolster their inner artist in a real studio.
ENGLISH: Harness the power of past literary works written by others to encourage new creative expression.
CALLIGRAPHY: Learn characters in Japanese and practice them using the art of calligraphy.
JAPANESE TEA CEREMONY: Students will learn the history and significance of the Japanese tea ceremony through a demonstration of making and serving matcha tea.
THEATRE: Participants will create, design and perform a short play from start to finish in a series of
PHILOSOPHY: Students will read, discuss and create Stoic texts to assess how well Stoicism can contribute to their own happiness and notion of a good life.
ARCHAEOLOGY: Learn how archaeologists dig up the past to understand the values and ways of life of people that lived hundreds or thousands of years ago.
HISTORY: Immerse yourself in the past through a high-energy interactive roleplaying game, where you take on the role of a person who lived during transformational times like the American Revolution, Civil Rights movement, or ancient Greece.
